Bus passengers are feared injured after the roof of a double-decker was torn off as it drove under a railway bridge in Rochdale.

Up to 25 people were on board when the crash happened on Milkstone Road at just before 12.30pm.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said that a man and woman have sustained "serious" facial injuries and others have been injured.

Fire and ambulance crews were also called to the scene.

The roof of the bus completely came off and quite a few people have been injured.

Everybody is off the bus now and ambulance and fire crews are at the scene.
