Tributes are being left at the scene where a 16 year-old boy was found dead in the Etherow River in Broadbottom near Hyde.
Officers were called to the River Etherow near to Broadbottom Road shortly before 5.45 yesterday evening.
They believe the youngster had been bathing in the hot weather with a group of friends.
