12 year old who died in Lancashire is named by police

Police say there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances in the death of a 12-year-old girl who was taken to hospital from a holiday park in Lancashire.

She has been named as Paige Daughtry, from Oldham in Greater Manchester.

Officers say they were called at around 9.40pm on Monday, July 18 to the Cala Gran Holiday Park in Fleetwood Road, Fleetwood.

The Ambulance Service had contacted police after Paige was found unresponsive at the scene by paramedics.

She was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment but died a short time later.

Police say a post mortem examination has been carried out and while the exact cause of death has not been ascertained, there are not thought at this stage to be any suspicious circumstances.

A file will be sent to the Coroner.
