Work has begun to create a new museum of pop music in Liverpool.

The British Music Experience is heading north after five years at London's o2 Arena.

The permanent exhibition, which is operated by the firm behind Titanic Belfast museum, is due to open on the ground floor of the historic Cunard Building on Liverpool's waterfront in February 2017.
