A special memorial is being held in Middleton today to celebrate the life of a soldier who was shot in Iraq.
Lance Corporal Scott Hetherington was serving with the 2nd Battalion The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment when he was died in what's been described as a 'tragic accident'.
He had just become a father to baby girl three months before he died.
The Ministry of Defence said his death "is currently under investigation", but it was "not a result of enemy activity."
His body was repatriated back to UK last week. His partner and baby daughter Safaya were at the airbase in Brize Norton as his body was flown home.
You can find details of the events planned for Scott at Middleton Memorial Gardens here.
