A major police investigation is under way after a woman was raped in a church graveyard.
The victim is reported to have been attacked in the graveyard of St Mary’s Church in Cheadle village in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police officers have sealed the church and graveyard off while officers investigate the scene.
Greater Manchester Police are still confirming details of the attack.
St Mary’s church, on High Street, is right in the middle of Cheadle. It’s next to the White Hart Tavern, at the junction with Wilmslow Road.
