The gardens of one of Liverpool's best-loved landmarks are re-opening to the public today. St Luke's or 'the bombed-out church' was closed two years ago for repairs. The listed building will be run by a community group to stage arts events and festivals. The reopening will feature two special concerts of The Beatles' Sgt Pepper album to tie in with the city's 50th anniversary celebrations of the band's landmark LP.
