One of the final chapters in the history of the Moors Murders closed today as an inquest concluded into the death of Ian Brady.
Brady died at Ashworth High Security Hospital on Merseyside - a place that was his home for 32 years. But while he'd been telling the world he was on hunger strike - Brady was lying.
The inquest revealed self neglect played NO part in his death - and that he'd died at the age of 79 of natural causes.
Typically, some mystery remains....as the hearing was told about a padlocked case which was removed from Brady's room hours before his death.
