Two men from the North West, who were jailed four years ago on smuggling weapons, look set to be coming home for Christmas.

The news broke in India that the men known as the Chennai Six - including Ray Tindall from Chester and Paul Towers from Bootle - had been cleared.

Their families back home had fought tirelessly for them to be freed. The men were arrested while working as security guards combatting piracy in the Indian Ocean.
