Man charged with causing death by dangerous driving after dad-to-be is killed crossing the road

A man has been charged with a number of offences after another man was killed as he crossed the road in Harpurhey.

Callum Steadman was out with a friend celebrating his 28th birthday when he was stuck whilst crossing Fernclough Road on December 1st.

He was taken to hospital where he sadly died from his injuries.

Kayden Wallbank, 22, of no fixed address, has been charged with offences including; causing death by dangerous driving, and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

He has been remanded to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on December 7.
