Hundreds of campaigners turned out in the sleet and snow this morning to protest against plans to build 750 homes on greenbelt land in Rochdale.
The scheme is part of Greater Manchester’s housing drive highlighted in the Greater Manchester Spacial Framework. The development would create 'large executive houses' in Norden and Bamford.
Public consultation ended earlier in the week however, the council say after they've considered each submission 'a final plan is published for a further public consultation'. More details on the plans can be found here.
