A bride-to-be arrived at her wedding in a milk float - in a tribute to her beloved dad's job as a milkman.

One of the electric vehicles was decked out in colourful bunting and "bride-to-be" signs to whisk Lucy Catterall and dad John to the ceremony at St Peter's & St Paul's Catholic Church, in Crosby, Merseyside, on Friday.

The father of the bride's employers supplied the milk float for the day.

John joked that he initially thought Lucy was "an idiot" for suggesting the milk float but said he was proud to be accompanying her.
