Today I can throw a new ingredient into the weather mix just to keep it interesting.

Cold.

I had a brief internal debate about how to introduce this less than cheery element to an already depressing outlook & selected the bandaid removal option.

Prolonging the agony when we're already in a state of pain seems pointless. We're soaked & sun-deprived but we are surviving & the prospect of a dip in temperatures is not going to break us. Pussyfooting around the issue will help no-one.

So there we have it. Not subtle, not appealing but not the end of the world & when conditions finally improve -as one day they must- our appreciation will know no bounds.
