Stuart Hazell, the man accused of murdering 12-year-old schoolgirl Tia Sharp, is due to appear in court at the Old Bailey today.
The 37-year-old is charged with murdering her between August 2 and 11.
Tia's body was found at her grandmother Christine Sharp's home in New Addington on Friday, a week after she had been reported missing.
Christine Sharp - Mr Hazell's partner - was also arrested on suspicion of murder, but has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Her neighbour Paul Meehan, 39, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has also been bailed.
A post-mortem examination on Tia's body is scheduled to resume on Thursday afternoon. No cause of death has yet been identified.
