21 people were arrested overnight by a Met Police operation targeting suspected criminals travelling through London. Amongst those arrested was a convicted serial sex offender who was wanted for another sex assault.

Operation Pegasus saw around 300 officers deployed across six London bridges and at key train and bus hubs. Officers used trained dogs and knife arches to check for people carrying drugs and weapons at Vauxhall, Clapham Junction and Tooting Bec stations.
