The word used in the Met Office to describe today's weather is messy.
There's quite a bit going on and timings are tricky to pin down and under these circumstances nowcasting is often more reliable than forecasting.
I'm feeling bold, though, so will commit to describing today as mainly cloudy with drizzle on the cards later.
Then the first half of the night will be wet before things become drier and clearer and which will lead us into a day of sunshine and (occasionally heavy) showers tomorrow.
My head is now firmly on the block so I'm praying I've got it right. If not I hope my executioner has a good aim and a sharp blade.
