Man charged after murder

A man has been charged with a murder in Mottingham says New Scotland Yard.

Delaney Barnett of Baring Road, SE12, will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court this morning, 22nd October, charged with the murder of Harold Muzeremwi and the attempted murder of another man.

Police were alerted by the ambulance service at 3.05pm on Saturday 20 October to a stabbing at an address in Kingsley Wood Drive SE9.

Officers found two men suffering multiple stab wounds.

A man aged 20 was treated by paramedics, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have been informed and the deceased has been identified as Harold Muzeremwi, 20, from Erith.

A post-mortem examination took place at 11am on 21 October at Greenwich Mortuary and gave the cause of death as a stab wound.

A man aged 24 was taken to a south London hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition.

An incident room has been opened at Lewisham under DCI Cliff Lyons.

Detectives are keen to trace a black Volkswagen Golf (reg. LV07 FXA) which they believe may be linked to the incident. Officers suspect it remains somewhere in south-east London.
