A woman murdered in her own home was let down by the police, who failed to respond urgently on the day she was killed.
That's the damning conclusion today of a report by the police watchdog.
It says Jeanette Goodwin wasn't given "an essential emergency response to a high-risk victim".
She'd called them just hours before she was attacked at her home in Southend by her former partner in July last year.
