After a weekend of weather which can best be described as patchy it was a relief to see the new week starting on a positive note.
There were blue skies and plenty of sun this morning and there'll be very little change for the rest of the day. There's a chilly northerly breeze blowing so it's feeling quite cool but, as far as I'm concerned, that's a small price to pay for cloudless skies.
In fact it's going to be a fine and clear night and with no insulating cloud cover, temperatures will fall quickly and get close to freezing, meaning touches of frost by tomorrow. If there are any bonfire/firework parties going on tonight it'll be textbook weather but you will need to wrap up warm.
There'll be a change tomorrow when rain hoves into view during the afternoon. It won't be quite as chilly but that's small -if any- comfort. Give me arctic sun any day....
