It was glorious this morning - chilly, but so clear and bright it was difficult to imagine that the afternoon would have such a different look to it.
The satellite and radar images, however, could not be ignored and showed cloud accompanied by its best friend rain pushing in towards us from the North. The net result is that before too long we lost the sun and it became damp at times as well.
In addition, because it was so cold last night and because the sun disappeared this afternoon temperatures today have been struggling.
Factor in the wind and it all mounts up to a thoroughly unpleasant second half of the day.
Luckily tomorrow is much more promising - dry, reasonably bright and not as chilly.
