After a beautifully bright day yesterday it appears we've paid the price today in the form of cloud and rain.
There's nothing unusual about that sort of weather at this time of year, the rain hasn't been particularly heavy and although it's felt chilly it hasn't been especially cold, it's just been a rather demoralising start to the new week.
My Met Office colleagues have been describing this week's weather prospects as 'messy'. This means no two days will be the same and the detail will occasionally be tricky to paint in accurately.
Although this may sound suspiciously like an excuse it isn't intended as such, merely a warning that fine tuning may well take place in the short term.
Talking of which, tomorrow won't be too bad. Dry and mild with sunny spells at times.
