Police name ditch murder victim

A man whose body was found in a ditch in Surrey has been named by police.

The body of 33-year-old James Lambert was found by a police officer on patrol in Imber Cross near Thames Ditton railway station on Friday morning.

A murder investigation was launched following the discovery of Mr Lambert's body.Mr Lambert had been reported to the Metropolitan Police as a missing person on Wednesday, November 14, and the police officer was making inquiries into his whereabouts when they discovered the body."

Two men, aged 46 and 35, who were arrested in connection with the death have been released without charge.

A post-mortem examination carried out on the body at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford yesterday was unable to establish a cause of death and further tests will be carried out.
