Presents, destined to be unwrapped by the sickest children at Great Ormond Street Hospital on Christmas morning were stolen over the weekend.
Around 20 gifts, including DVD players, DVDs, games consoles and toys disappeared from the hospital between Friday evening and Monday morning, when Camden Police were notified.
Any children that can possibly go home for Christmas , do so, so those that remain are in the intensive care unit and very sick.
It is these children that were heartlessly robbed. The presents were bought by the hospital's own charity and are the kinds of things that help take a child's mind off its pain.
Since the theft, several benefactors have come forward to replace the gifts but Camden Police are determined to find the culprit.
DI Les Newman made an appeal for anyone who knows anything about this callous act to call 101 and ask for the CID office at Holborn or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
