Manali's weather blog for Monday 14 Jan

I have to say it's been an exciting day to return to theweather...a new look to the graphics and of course the snow!

Many of us woke up to a dusting of snow this morning andmore snowfall is expected tonight.

Ahead of tonight, a mix of rain, sleet and snow isaffecting much of the country.

There is likely to be a drier spell across the capitalthis evening, before more wintry weather pushes back in overnight.

Northern Home Counties are likely to see the greatest accumulations (2-5cms), but like last night even Central London could get a dusting.

The main concern isn’t necessarily the amount of snow, but the impact of ice as temperatures plummet overnight.

Anywhere that we have had rain, sleet and snow today, is at risk of icing over tonight.

So please take care on the roads and pavements tomorrow morning, and wrap up warm! It's going to be bitterly cold!

Weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office, and if you want to see how the snow and ice is going affect your journey into work tomorrow morning it's worth keeping an eye on the Met Office website for updates.

The outlook for the rest of week keeps conditions cold and unsettled.

Ice is going to be a hazard through the week as temperatures stay cold by day and night.

Showers will be pushing in off the North Sea and these showers are likely to be a wintry mix.

So keep your hat, gloves and scarves to hand, this cold weather is with us for the rest of this week.
