Snow and sleet again tonight.
The last of this current batch of wintery weather is heading our way tonight. Around 8pm we're seeing a band of wintery weather move in from the west. North of the Thames we are likely to see snow so we can expect between 2 and 5cm by the time we wake up in the morning. South of the river we're likely to see a mix of snow, sleet and rain so probably only a couple of centimetres will settle.
By the early hours of tomorrow morning the snow and sleet will move away leading to clear skies and freezing temperatures. With all the snow and sleet around that will mean there'll be a significant ice risk by the time we wake up Saturday morning.
Saturday will start off bright, crisp and cold. It will cloud over gradually as we head into the afternoon and then rain overnight. We're going to see milder temperatures too with highs of 7 degrees so it's likely the overnight rain will wash away the remains of the snow and ice.
Sunday will be unsettled. A mixture of sunny spells, cloud and rain. It will be windy too.
Early next week
Temperatures are continuing to get milder but it will be staying wet and windy. Highs on Tursday of 12 degrees.
Have a great weekend.
