The good news is things will turn milder tomorrow; the bad news is we've got a lot of rain on the rain way first.
There's a weather front sweeping its way across the UK from the West today. It's the same system which bought all the heavy snow to America over the weekend. It will bring snow to much of the UK, as it hits the cold air. But by the time it reaches London, it is likely to have fizzled from snow to rain.
So here's the rough timeline:
4pm - Light flurries of snow, sleet and rain creeping in to the west of London.
Rush hour - Damp and cold.
Midnight - Heavier more persistent rain for all of the London region, but temperatures starting to get milder. The wind will be picking up too.
Tomorrow morning - Wet and windy but noticeably milder (highs of 8 degrees).
Tomorrow afternoon - Turning drier and brighter (highs of 10 degrees).
Valentines Day night - Dry and fine - perfect for a hot date!
