What your council spent on the Olympic Torch relay

Last summer the eyes of the world were on the capital for the London 2012 Games. As the Olympic Torch reached London having traveled through the country the streets were full with flag waving crowds.

Figures released today show the cost each council spent on the Torch-bearing event in their area.

Costs included road closures and hosting events to mark the once-in-a-lifetime event.

Figures obtained by the Press Association under the Freedom of Information Act reveal what each council spent when the torch came through their area.
