After this year's Oscar and MBE, the multi-award winning singer and songwriter Adele has been honoured by Madame Tussauds, as wax figures of the acclaimed performer are revealed in London and Amsterdam.

The figures will portray the singing sensation in a glamorous black dress, mirroring her Grammys 2012 look.

Adele will join a host of female stars on the music stage at the London attraction and its Amsterdam sister venue this month.

Madame Tussauds PR Manager Nicole Fenner said:

Adele is the perfect addition to the music line up here in London.

She’s one of the world’s hottest properties right now and one of our most requested personalities. In fact we’ve seen a huge increase in requests for her figure since ‘Skyfall’ was released and the timing seems perfect to honour her after such phenomenal success with the song.

She is one of the most influential British female artists and we know she is going to be a huge hit with our guests alongside our other pop greats. We’re very excited to welcome her to Madame Tussauds London.

Adele gave the figure her wax-seal of approval and declared: "They've even got my chin right." Adele was not present at today's launch but she has already been given a look at the model and said of her double:

That's scary! It's amazing - I feel a bit emotional.

Adele will be joining a dream list of female artists - including Beyonce, Rihanna, and Amy Winehouse. Guests will be able to step on stage right next to their heroine.
