Winners of Army Photographic Competition on show in Chelsea

An Afghan child handing a flower to a Welsh soldier on patrol is one of many poignant images on display in a new exhibition giving the public new insights into Army life. The annual Army Photographic Competition's complete collection of winning entries is on display for the first time at the National Army Museum in Chelsea, London.

The images show soldiers on patrol, but also on down time, including during friendly sporting fixtures with Afghan Army counterparts. The exhibition will be on display until October 22.
