Don’t leave the house without a brolly today or in fact any day next week….
We've seen some pretty potent showers so far this morning, blustery showers with the odd rumble of thunder too. They will continue on and off this afternoon.
It will be dry for much of the night, but it's not long before the next weather system moves up from the southwest. At the moment it looks like the rain will arrive into southwest London by 3-4am, spreading north and east.
So we are looking at a miserable start to the new week. Wet and windy for the rush hour and the commute into work. The rain will ease slowly through the day, with cloud breaks developing.
This unsettled theme continues for the rest of the week, rain or showers. Another front moves in on Tuesday, so a cloudy day overall with some outbreaks of rain (the rain hopefully wont be as extensive as Monday). For Wednesday and Thursday expect to see some showers. It stays quite windy for much of the week, although the winds will ease gradually by Thursday.
The one positive thing to mention, it stays mild, with temperatures above avenge for the time of year.
