Average levels of pay have fallen in London over the last 12 months, partly down to the drop in bonuses paid in The City. That compares to an overall rise nationally.

In the UK, the average salary is £27,174. That's up 1.4% over the past year

In England, the average salary is £27,733. That's up 1.3% over the past year

In London, the average salary is £41,143. That's a fall of 1.7% over the past year.
