They've long been known as hideaways for children, but now one design company has taken the idea behind treehouses to a new level - creating a luxury version for adults. The eco-friendly structure is shaped like a tree.
It doesn't come cheap: the Quiet Treehouse is worth around £500,000
The Quiet Treehouse is on show at the Ideal Home Show at Earl's Court, which opened this week.
It features a recording studio and a kitchen - it's even completely soundproof. Blue Forest, the company behind it, says the treehouse has been constructed from Kebony wood, an eco-friendly alternative to tropical wood which acts as a soundproofing material.
After the show, the treehouse will be donated to the Chestnut Tree House children's hospice.
