The girl was travelling with a male driver and another young passenger when they hit a car driving the other way outside a school in West Horsley.

An officer from Surrey's road unit and one from the response unit battled to save the girl - giving her 12 minutes of resuscitation until paramedics arrived.

She was then airlifted to St George's Hospital in Tooting with critical injuries following Wednesday's crash in West Horsley.
