Experts from New Scotland Yard are making their way to Ukraine. They will help recover the bodies of the British victims involved in the Malaysia Airlines plane crash.
The police officers who are all experts in identifying bodies, are due to arrive tomorrow. A spokesman for Downing Street said the officers would "assist with the recovery, identification and repatriation of those killed."
Six air crash investigators from the government's Air Accidents Investigation Board at Farnborough are also in Ukraine. The crash team will be based in Kiev while the format of the official investigation is finalised.
It wasn't clear if and when the investigators will visit the disaster site. Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond called on Russia to use its influence on local separatists to allow access to the crash scene.
