Britain's most flamboyant fingernails? Artist recreates countryside scenes on the tips of her fingers

If you like to be the centre of attention, how about lavishing some time, care and attention on your nails - and turning them into little pieces of art.

London artist Alice Bartlett loves nails. And these particular creations were inspired after a trip to a crafts and hobby shop. Each design shows characters casually posing in countryside scenes. Speaking to ITV News, Alice said:

I was at model railway shop, trying to find a small motor for an unrelated project when I saw all the supplies for making model railway scenes.

I thought they were so cool and sweet. I'd been playing about with nail art for about a year before that and knew of a technique called 'flocking' where you get sort of velvety-texture nails using flock and a similar colour polish.

This technique is very similar to the way model railway builders create grassy scenes.

The end results are pretty impressive. And definitely a conversation starter.
