Police are trying to track down a man described as having 'hamster-like cheeks' after a woman was attacked and raped in a park in north London.
The victim, a sex worker in her late 40s, approached a man on Green Lanes in Haringey. He asked to go somewhere more secluded where she was forced to the floor, strangled, threatened with a knife and dragged along by her hair.
She was carrying a rape alarm, which was taken away from her and disabled.
The victim was then sexually assaulted and raped in Chestnuts Park, off St Ann’s Road. Police describe the man they're looking for as:
- Black, about 5ft 9in tall, of medium build, with short afro hair and a London accent
- He is also described as having hamster-like cheeks, with a round face, prominent cheek bones and elongated front teeth
- The attack happened between 2am and 3am on Sunday, 9 September 2012
