Londoners have revealed their frustration and anger at fellow passengers’ with poor body hygiene and spreading germs topping the list of the most annoying habits.
Commuters “hate” having to stand or sit next to a smelly person on the tube, bus or train, according to a recent YouGov poll.
Women in particular are left fuming by people who spread germs by coughing or sneezing without covering their mouth.
The next most annoying habit was people who talk loudly on their mobile phones, followed by passengers who put their feet on the seats, eat smelly food or don’t make space in the carriage during the rush hour.
- A quarter of those aged 18 to 24 complained about their fellow commuters taking up too much room

YouGov interviewed 1,200 adults in London between August 8th and August 13th.
