Back in December we brought you the story of Biscuit,Battersea Dogs and Cats Home's longest serving resident, who was over looked by over 5,000 potential owners.
has found a home with Gemma and Darren Hunt of Aldershot, Hampshire. Biscuit spent 689 days in the charity's care, but the dog has finally found a home with Gemma and Darren Hunt who live in Aldershot in Hampshire.
Gemma and Darren have changed Biscuit's name to Blake, and when they wanted to rehome Biscuit, Battersea staff knew they’d found his perfect owners. Gemma said: “We took Biscuit on after losing our rescue dog eight years ago. The loss is still very painful, but we rehomed Biscuit because we promised ourselves if we took on another dog it would be one that needed us the most – and Biscuit turned out to be that dog. Now he’s very much a part of our family and we love him to bits. Biscuit makes big steps every day. He’s so clever, loving and willing to learn and it makes him a joy to be around. He loves to cuddle up on the sofa, and even knows in the evening that when his blanket comes out that it's his time to snuggle. I know we have an unbreakable bond. Who couldn't fall for a face like his.”
Biscuit is now enjoying running and swimming with his new family, and goes walking for three hours every day.
