A violent thug has been convicted of a brutal attack on a 75-year-old woman that left her so badly bruised she looked like she had a beard.
Patricia Beckford was left with a fractured eye socket and her jaw was broken in two places as she was repeatedly punched in the head by 23-year-old Kyrone Joseph.
She was out shopping when Joseph knocked her off her mobility scooter and began throwing punches.
The pensioner was too scared to leave her home after the unprovoked assault in East Ham, east London, in May..
Joseph, who lived with his terminally ill grandmother in East Ham, was found guilty of attacking Patricia, a 71-year-old man and a 37-year old woman.
He was convicted of two counts of causing grievous bodily harm and one count of wounding with intent following a trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
Patricia, speaking after the assault, said:
Joseph will be sentenced on July 9.
