Alfie Gray, who played for Crawley Town Boys football club, died in hospital last Tuesday.

It is understood his family, from Crawley, in West Sussex, arrived at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort in Sharm el-Sheikh the day before the accident.

There was a minute's silence before a six-a-side competition that his team played in at the weekend. Our thoughts are with his family and we will offer our support to the family where we can and to the boys that are in the team.

– Simon Pearce, secretary of Crawley Town Boys

We can confirm the death of a British national in Sharm el-Sheikh on 7 July 2015. We are providing consular assistance to the family at this sad time.
