'World's first' one tap parking app tried out in capital

What is being described as the "world's first" one tap parking payment system for vehicles has been tested in the city.

The AppyParking app tells drivers where there are free spaces and then lets them pay for their space on the spot.

Westminster City Council says it saves drivers money because they only pay for the exact amount of time they remain parked.

The app could also reduce congestion because it pinpoints where the best spaces are available.

The app will be launched nationwide in September.

This Uber style service means we can literally make parking feel as if it never happened and everyone can get on with the more important things in life.
