Detectives have named a 29-year-old killed in a brawl at an east London pub as Edward Stokes.

Police have told the man’s next of kin and a post-mortem is due to be held tomorrow at Poplar Cemetery.

Ten people - six women and four men - arrested by police investigating the murder have been bailed until April.

One of the men injured in the pub fight, an 18-year-old, has been discharged from hospital while two others, aged 19 and 37, remain in hospital.

We are keen to hear from any witnesses who were inside and outside the pub around the time this incident occurred.

Although 10 people have been arrested and are currently being questioned, it is believed that two men involved in the attack fled the scene prior to the arrival of the emergency services being alerted and we are keen to trace them.

Whilst we are aware that a fight broke out prior to these four males being injured, what instigated the fight resulting in the death of Edward is unclear at this stage and we are retaining an open mind.
