A first look into a drained Camden Lock canal has uncovered a gun and coins ahead of a planned silent disco event in the new space.
Canal and River Trust offered a rare opportunity to walk along the original 200-year-old brickwork in the bottom of the lock chamber and see up close one of the finest examples of working heritage in the world.
Graham Smith, Construction Manager, Canal and River Trust spoke about what was found in the lock:
It is part of extensive repair work to Camden Locks.
From 7-9pm a silent disco will be held in a lock chamber, with four half-hour slots and will be on a first come first served basis. Each session will allow a maximum of 40 people in the lock.
