A Heathrow baggage handler and four other alleged members of a gang who smuggled £10 million of cocaine through the airport are due in court.
Joysen Jhurry, 40, was arrested in a series of dawn raids after National Crime Agency officers had the gang under surveillance for 15 months.
The gang were allegedly importing cocaine from South America and cannabis from South Africa through the busy west London airport.
Jhurry was one of three Heathrow baggage handlers arrested on suspicion of smuggling the drugs on Wednesday.
Eight other suspects were arrested in dawn raids across London in a major investigation after a series of drugs seizures were made over the past 15 months.
They will appear before Uxbridge Magistrates Court on Friday.
