Cycle Superhighway CS9: South Circular to get a dedicated bike lane

A short section of London's busy South Circular is to have its own dedicated bike lane as part of the Mayor's newest 'Cycle Superhighway'.

City Hall today revealed plans for west London's first segregated cycle route, CS9, from Kensington to Brentford.

The 6km bike track will include 130m of the South Circular near Kew Bridge. The north east bound dual carriageway will be reduced to one lane for motor vehicles.

Some residential roads in Chiswick will be closed to through traffic. The new Superhighway will include a bike bypass around the congested Hammersmith gyratory.
