An 18-year-old man is appearing in court this afternoon, Friday, 22 September, charged in connection with the Parsons Green tube terrorist attack.
Ahmed Hassan, 18, of Sunbury, Surrey, has been charged with attempted murder of persons travelling on a District Line Train from Wimbledon and a nature likely to endanger life or to cause serious injury to property, contrary to section 2 Explosive Substances Act 1883.
He was arrested in Dover, Kent, at approximately 07:50hrs on Saturday, 16 September.
Three other males, aged 25, 30 and 17 remain in custody under section 41 of the Terrorism Act in connection with the investigation, which is being carried out by officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.
Searches are ongoing at one address in Surrey and two in Newport, Wales.
