The American Bar at the Savoy has helped London topple New York as the globe's undisputed cocktail capital.
The iconic bar, which began serving in 1893, topped the list of the World's 50 Best Bars for the first time.
It was one of eight London bars in the rankings, compared to New York's seven, though the UK capital's dominance was underlined with three bars in the top four.
The Dandelyan came second and the Connaught Bar fourth in the list, while Soho's Bar Termini earned ninth spot.
Happiness Forgets (12), Oriole (17), The Gibson (21) and Nightjar (43) completed the list of London entrants.
The American Bar, whose past drinkers have included Sir Winston Churchill and Marilyn Monroe, already enjoys legendary status.
Its former bartender Harry Craddock wrote The Savoy Cocktail Book, still regarded as the bible for all drink makers.
