An antiques dealer has been charged with murder after he allegedly strangled his seven-year-old daughter to death.
Robert Peters, 55, was arrested after Sophia Peters was attacked last Friday.
The youngster was rushed to hospital from the family's home on Blenheim Road in Wimbledon where she was pronounced dead.
Peters was charged with murder on Friday and appeared at court where his case was transferred to the Old Bailey.
A plea hearing has been set for January 26.
The defendant runs an antiques firm with his brother in Kensington specialising in oriental ceramics and artworks.
