Simon Pimblett, 53, was stunned when he spotted the white critter raiding bird feeders and snacking on the seeds.

He snapped a series of images of the squirrel at his home in North Dulwich, London.

Simon first saw the squirrel two weeks ago but finally managed to catch it on camera on Saturday.

We live in South East London and we get a fair amount of wildlife in and out of our back garden even though it's quite small.

Squirrels are not usually at all for anyone in London, but about a fortnight ago, this white squirrel appeared.

I set up my camera on the kitchen table just in case it came back because each time I ventured out into the garden it took fright and dashed off.

Finally, on Saturday morning, perhaps it was so cold, it got bold and adventurous and came right into the garden and spent a good 15 or 20 minutes looking for food.

It's very shy, very timid and we ever got was very brief glimpses of it, but I grabbed the camera and took some shots.
