Tina Turner has proved to fans she is still simply the best after attending the world premiere of the new musical about her life. Tina: The Musical has opened to rave reviews at the Aldwych Theatre in London's West End.

The 78 year old singer said she had already seen the show to give it her approval, but was looking forward to celebrating it's official opening. The musical tells the tale of the star's humble beginnings in Tennessee, to her transformation into the global Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Producers say it also reveals the untold story of a woman who dared to defy the bounds of her age, gender and race.

I shook my hips before I could tie my shoes because of Tina Turner. I’m her fan first, and because of that, I consider it such a responsibility. To be Tina is to give my all, because she gives her all.
